Trade Taster Program

Some of our year 10 students from the Alliance schools have been selected to participate in a Trade Taster program at Gotafe. This program aims to inspire the students about trade subjects they could possibly take in the future.

They will explore Automotive, Building and construction, Electrical and Plumbing.

The students will also gain a Construction Induction card qualification through the course, this allows students to participate in work placement on a building site at a later stage.

Year 9 Subject Expo

Year 9 students where given the opportunity to talk with Domain Leaders about subjects to choose for 2019 on Thursday 2nd August in our Subject Expo event. Students spent 15 minutes with each subject area

Math

English

Humanities

Science

Arts/Technology

Health/PE

Students then took part in Course Counselling on Thursday 9th August to ensure they are heading in a pathway to fulfill their interest area.

Defence Force Visit

The Defence Force were in Shepparton last week to present to secondary school students about the possibilities and how to apply for Defence Army, Navy or Air Force.

Students need to have at least a year 10 pass in Maths, English and Science and can start the application process at the age of 16.

This process can take up to two years to go through.
