Middle School News

Welcome Back to Term 4

We hope that everyone has had a relaxing and fun holidays ready for the busy term ahead. In the next few weeks we have our community fair, our annual swimming program and our weekly kinder visits. These will be great opportunities for our students to engage with our local community in various ways.

We look forward to see how well Middle school can be role models of excellence, resilience and respect!

Better Buddies

Next year, the current  year 4 students will get to be the big buddies for our 2020 Foundation students.

This term, the year 4 students will be working through the better buddies program. During this program, the students will learn strategies to help support our new Foundation with the transition to KPS. We can't wait to see how supportive our middle students are to our newcomers.

Community Fair

This Saturday is our KPS community fair!! Middle school has been very busy organising the class stalls.

Middle A is running temporary tattoos and an asteroid blaster game.

Middle B is running a chocolate toss and Middle C has lots lucky jars to choose from. A map will be going home this week so you are able to locate your child's stall.

We are looking forward to a fantastic day and hope to see you all there!

Term 4 - Homework

Middle school homework has changed slightly for this term. This should help build greater independence and responsibility within the students.

The Term 4 homework expectation is:

1. Students are reading daily for at least 30mins

2. Targeted My Numeracy Activity - Focus on 1 topic/lesson

3. Leveled spelling word practice (10 words per week).
