Principal's Report

College continues to impress me.  Last Monday, senior staff were privileged to enjoy a truly special evening meal prepared by our very own Hospitality Department.  All veiled under the guise for assessment, the Shilliday Room was beautifully decorated in order that our Year 10 and 11 Hospitality students could model their new found skills.  The two Year 10 hospitality classes prepared a superb three course meal and staff were tantalized by falafel sliders, stuffed cream mushrooms, roast lamb and chicken and assorted cheesecakes; just to name a few dishes.   The food, entertainment (Sam Rowe and Tim Gilling), presentation and service was outstanding.  I congratulate Ms McGoon and all our Year 10 and 11 Hospitality students on a most enjoyable evening. Bon appetit!

Finally, the Chairman of The Hamilton and Alexandra College Board, Mr John Diprose OAM is pleased to announce the election of two new members.  The Board welcomes Ms Bianca Scaife and Mr Tony Bedworth.  Born and bred in Hamilton, Bianca is an Old Collegian (OC1991), a mother of a current Year 7 student Milo Cooper and Director of Cooper Scaife Architects.  Bianca is a strong supporter of the arts and a keen member of the Hamilton Symphony Orchestra and Hamilton Strings as a violinist. Tony is a Director, Accountant and Financial Planner at Murray Nankivell Naracoorte, South Australia.  He also is a current parent with daughter Nikki in Year 11 and Kate graduating as School Captain in 2014.  Tony too has served his local community as Chairman and Treasurer in a number of capacities.

Term 3 really has started well and the future of College looks extremely bright.
