A Little Bit of Drama!

In Year 8 English, our unit on the infamous Bard, William Shakespeare is slowly drawing to a close. It has been great to see how hard the students have been working to create a polished performance. Below you will see some of the hard work one of the groups have put in to complete their performance of Macbeth Act III Scene III.

Working in the Ag Plot

The Ag Plot has been humming with activity. Students have cultivated the soil and planted some spring and summer varieties. Both the Year 8 and Stage 5 classes have been putting in an enormous effort to prepare beds for our vegetables. Check out some of the work we have been doing below!

 

Year 9 Elective Japanese Pizza Party - Education Perfect Winners!

Congratulations to the Year 9 Japanese class on winning the Armidale Diocese Science Championships competition! Our students answered the most questions from the Science content library (on average) compared to all other the classes in the Armidale Diocese. At the party students practised their Japanese language skills by ordering their pizza and drink in Japanese.

Crafting Katakana Bookmarks and Origami Cranes

Recently, Year 9 Elective Japanese students, created origami cranes to represent peace in the world. To demonstrate their comprehension of the Katakana alphabet, each student created their own bookmark. This entailed them writing their names in Katakana, whilst including the alphabet on the back; solidifying their confidence with the learning outcomes for the unit.
