Book Fair

Book Fair will be held in the Parish Hall from Monday 19th October - Thursday 22nd October, (Week 2 of Term 4).  It will look a little different this year due to COVID-19. Parents will be unable to accompany their children to the fair, however we have allocated PARENT ONLY VIEWING times (see below).  This is a fabulous opportunity to purchase gifts for children.

Every student will be given the opportunity to view the books and fill out a Student Wish List Form.  Parents can then go online to www.scholastic.com.au/payment to pay for the books.  Students MUST then bring the Student Wish List Form back in, with the receipt number recorded, in order to collect their books.  There is a Wish List Form attached to the newsletter for you to print off.  It will be a CASHLESS event.

PARENT ONLY VIEWING times:

Monday 19/10:  9-10am and 2-3pm

Wednesday 21/10:  9-10am and 12-1pm and 2-3pm

Thursday 22/10:  9-10am and 12-1pm

Book Week Parade

Book Week Parade will be held on FRIDAY 23 October, (Week 2, Term 4).  All students from Kindergarten - Year 10 are involved.  This year, it will also look a little different due to COVID-19.  Students will still have their Book Week Parade, however, due to the directive to minimise student interaction, this will now take place without our normal parent audience.  Awards will still be presented to Best Dressed with photos being taken of each class and the winners of each grade.  These photos will be posted on our communication platforms.

This year, student costumes will be judged by three guest judges!  The costume MUST be accompanied by the book (or photocopy of book cover).

Costumes will be judged on the following criteria:

*Is the costume from a book?

*Creativity – Was the costume made creatively, colourfully, and does it show personality?

*Originality – Does the costume stand out from the rest?

*Effort – Did the costume take time and effort?

*Authenticity – How accurate and thorough is the costume to the character?
