Sports Report 

Thanks to those students who have got involved in the SSV Virtual Sports events, I encourage you to get out it the sunshine and test yourself in these challenges. Don’t forget to get a photo of yourself competing or with your certificate and send it in.

School Sports Victoria Virtual Sports - SSV Virtual Tennis

School Sport Victoria has partnered with Tennis Victoria to develop the Virtual Tennis Challenge. There are five challenges in total, the Virtual Tennis Challenge finishes Sunday 20 September. 

Tennis Victoria has donated 30 Australian Open towels as prizes to be awarded for both participation and performance.

So grab your racquet and get outside and join the Virtual Tennis Challenge

 SSV VirtualTrack and Field

The SSV Virtual Track and Field is still running and I encourage all of you to get out in this beautiful Spring weather and challenge yourself, your friends, and other secondary school students in our area.

Basketball

As many of you are aware, the senior season isn’t running this season, however the HBA committee is working hard with the clubs endeavoring to get a junior competition up and running in Term 4. This may include an 18 and under competition, so if you were currently playing seniors with Monivae, now might be the time to look at organise a team with your mates and playing in your age group until basketball returns to normal. Further information to follow.

Sport uniforms and equipment – returns

I am currently working on getting an order together to replace some uniforms; however, I am unable to do this without all current uniforms returned and accounted for. Could you please check at home for any Monivae uniforms and return them to the school’s front desk by 16th October.

Basketball

With the cancellation of the senior basketball for 2020, could all basketball uniforms be returned to the school’s front desk. Please return them in a bag, clean and labelled with your name. Return by 16th October.

Equestrian 

Could all students with equestrian equipment inc saddle blankets, feed bags and team polo tops, return them to the school’s front desk by 16th October.  Please have them in a bag with your name clearly marked on the bag.

Monivae teams

There is still a number of outstanding items including:

Football jerseys

Football shorts

Netball dresses

Athletic singlets

That haven’t been returned. Could you please check at home and return these items to school by 16th October. These need to be returned cleaned please.
