2020 General Achievement Test 

2020 GAT INFORMATION

The General Achievement Test (GAT) is a test of general knowledge and skills in written communication, mathematics, science and technology, humanities, the arts and social sciences, taken by all Victorian students prior to completing their VCE. 

All students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3 and 4 sequences must sit the GAT. No VCAL students are required to sit this test in 2020.

The GAT will be conducted on Wednesday 7th October from 10.00am until 1.15pm.

All students must wear school uniform (winter uniform recommended) and have a face mask with them.

Schedule for the Conduct of the GAT

1. All local and town buses will run as normal on Wednesday 7th October for Year 11 and 12 students. Portland bus travellers have a special bus schedule with collection points and pick up times. Please see schedule below.

2. All students are to arrive at Monivae College by 9.30am. Please enter, sign in and be temperature checked at front reception before this time.

3. Year 12: Please assemble in the silent study room for private study until 9.30am

    Year 11: Please assemble in the study hall for private study until 9.30am

4. At 9.30am students are to move to the East stadium for reminders about GAT rules and procedures

5. Students will move to the West Stadium by 10am for completion of GAT. A seating plan is in place according to VCAA student number. Students remain in the West stadium until the completion of the GAT at 1.15pm

6. Lunch 1.15 – 1.45pm. Students may sign out and leave the school premises or stay for the remainder of the day for private study. There will be no canteen operating so students must provide their own lunch. Portland bus students will depart at 2pm.
