2020 Term 3 Week 8 Wellbeing Report

Wellness Week

Many families enjoyed taking a breather with our Wellness week. I have heard some great stories ranging from family movie nights, camping in the backyard, children cooking their family a meal through to grandparents running an online cooking class with their grandchildren.

Also pets have played an important role in our lives. One parent told me that her dog brings a lot of joy and love to their house and she has noticed this has brought out the nurturing and caring side in her children too.

To help maintain wellbeing, feeling well and happy can be boosted by doing things for others and sharing in these joyful moments. I really hope families continue to plan these fun times and we look forward to hearing more happy adventures from home. Keep up the great work!

Welcome to Spoonville

The children, teachers and some parents and carers have experienced a lot of fun making their Spoonville character. We do hope some more spoony’s move in and Spoonville will continue to grow.  All spoony people will be accepted, so if you want to be part of the biggest Spoonville community in Woori Yallock, drop in your spoony!

School Supports

This term staff are continuing to check in with families and this may be the offer of wellbeing strategies/resources, food hampers, possible learning packs or just a phone call to hear how you are all coping.  If you are interested in getting one of our Wellbeing Toolbox Wellbeing hardcopy packs please call the school.

Free Happy Families Membership

Many families have signed up and if you haven’t got around to joining, it’s not too late.  The admin team at Happy Families have streamlined some changes to make it less confusing for you.  The Happy Families membership gives you access to a number of resources which will help families, staff and students to thrive.   Every member will receive a weekly "Lighten the Load" email, which includes a quick, easy to apply tip from Dr Justin, as well as some updates about other features in the membership. There is a library of parenting resources which offers calm assurance, direction and solutions you can try out on your families.
