SACSA Volleyball Recap

Year 9/10 Boys

Three keen teams of Year 9/10 boys participated in the SACSA Volleyball Carnival on the student free day. Our Gold team played exceptional volleyball all day, dropping only 2 games, finishing 5th out of 9 in the competition. They were very close to making it in the top 4; only stopped by one close loss by 2 points, and a technicality of the order of teams.

Our Silver and Bronze teams competed well in the Silver competition, matching it with most other teams. Our Silver team finished 4th out of 9 teams, and our Bronze team finished 9th.

Year 9/10 Girls

Peter Pearse and Lianne Zilm took two teams of girls to the SACSA Volleyball on Wednesday 14 June. The two teams found the going tough but faced each match with spirit, endurance and growth. Their competitive spirit could not be dented despite some narrow losses, some just by one point! It was great for both teams to get a win under their belts before the end of the day and their true sense of college pride and team cohesion was impressive.

Endeavour Silver finished 15th and the Gold team, 14th.

Year 7/8 Boys

Endeavour took three teams to the Year 7/8 Boys SACSA Volleyball Carnival. Our Gold team were undefeated all day, and finished the grand final in style with an unbelievable 35 – 13 win! They were dominant in every game, serving teams off the court, and passing everything that came their way.

The highlight for our Silver team was beating Kings’ Gold. Our Silver and Bronze teams finished 13th and 14th out of 16 but showed they could match up with most teams.

Thanks to our talented Year 9 coaches Phi, Kiran, Aaron and Ryan for helping to coach along with their teachers.

Year 7/8 Girls

The new Endeavour school bus took its maiden voyage with nine keen volleyballers to The Lights Sporting Centre. The Year 7/8 girls were slow to start in their first game resulting in a loss, however, the next 4 games saw the girls improve their skills with clearer team communication enabling four wins in a row! The girls worked well together and kept the encouragement and fun high all day.

They finished third in their pool and won their pool cross-over final 63-30.
