Andy Anderson-Class of 2004

Our school captains this year are invested in creating an engaging and inclusive new approach to the house system and were seeking an alum to speak at our whole school assembly in term 2, that could draw on their experience at school and discuss the importance of being part of a team and who better than Andy Anderson from the class of 2004? The entrepreneur, author, pro athlete, podcaster, TV show host and producer and multi-business owner stepped up to the challenge and flew down from the Gold Coast for the occasion.

Andy addressed our entire school with some lessons learned during his school days, including creating a vision for the future, sacrifice and discipline, team spirit, facing failure, being a lifelong learner and not sweating the small stuff.

Before the assembly, Andy spoke to our Specialist Sport students, giving them a forum to ask questions about his career pathway, life as a professional athlete and turning a passion into a thriving business.

What an amazing opportunity for our students to learn from one of our own.

We thank Andy for being authentic, incredibly generous with his time and inspiring those that will walk in his footsteps.
