This week we received confirmation from the Minister for Roads and Road Safety - Melissa Horne, that we were one of 251 projects selected for a Community Road Safety Grant ($3,030.00). The money will be used to contribute to the cost of having our mountain bikes serviced.

Community Road Safety Grants are awarded to groups who provide targeted education programs that aim to reduce road trauma numbers.

Bike Education is offered as an elective at Year 9. Students learn how to do basic service of a bike - including how to change a tube, road rules and general bike handling skills.

Pictured: Charli, Ebony and Saige learning how to complete the compulsory check of their bikes - this is done before every ride is undertaken.
