Hello, from the Music room

Music News from Ms. Bridget Finch. 

For the last few weeks in Music, grades 4-6 have been designing an 8-bit video game character and accompanying music. It's been a great opportunity to explore the impact of music in visual mediums like movies and games. I've been super impressed by the students' creativity and their thoughtfulness in composing music to suit their characters. 

We used free apps for the music and characters - you might want to give them a try:

• Beepbox to compose the music; and 
• Make 8 Bit Art for the character.

They were then put together in a Powerpoint presentation in order to share the finished product. Here are a few examples (more to come next term):
