Transition to the Workforce
Work opportunities four our young people
Thanks to local organisations across this term numerous students have been given opportunities to learn more about the world of work. Some senior students have participated in week-long full time work placement for VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses such as Hospitality, Construction, and Business Services. Other students seeking more clarification about their future options have benefited from one day per week for a number of weeks.
One such student is Rosie Piercy from Year 11 who spent some time with Grace from Finding Grace Wellness and Sustainability in West Kempsey. Rosie really enjoyed her time learning about the range of items available in the health and wellbeing sector and developing her retail industry skills.
Kempsey High School would also like to thank the following organisations for their support of our students:
Feed Ur Face Greenhill, Good Start Early Learning, Kempsey Toyota, West Kempsey Post Office and LJ Hooker Kempsey
If any business would like to discuss how they can support our students and / or find new casual, part-time or full-time staff, please contact Mrs Tourmaline Bailey, Transition Adviser on 6562 6166 in Term 3.
