Term 2 Week 8 2023 - Friday 16th June

What have we been up to?

Can you believe we are on the home stretch! It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the 1/2 students. Students have enjoyed planning and writing their own Procedures. They have learnt all about the structure and language features and realised just how much detail needs to go into them, so they are clear for the reader.  Students have also continued to develop their decoding skills as a part of the Little Learners Love Literacy program and have fully embraced the morning program. They have also successfully completed a number of assessments and writing pieces to help their teachers write their reports. They should all be commended for their wonderful efforts. With one week to go until school holidays the 1/2 teaching team would like to wish all 1/2 families a safe and restful holiday period. We cannot wait to hear about what the students get up to upon their return for Term 3.

Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was!

1/2A - Cheers to a successful filming day!

Miss Simos tried to follow our procedures on how to make a sprinkle sandwich, but we figured out our instructions needed to be clearer!

After that we had another go and successfully made Fairy Bread!

1/2B We played Snakes and Ladders by using addition.

We followed a procedure to make paper airplanes and had a little competition to see how far they could fly.

1/2C - We followed a procedure to make a Vegemite sandwich
