Follow the Dream

Flinders University Expo – Alice Springs

Flinders University hosted an Expo event at their Alice Springs campus.

The event showcased the courses and campus life with Flinders University on offer in Adelaide, Darwin and Alice Springs. FTD students had the opportunity to speak with College staff about the different courses on offer and they were able to seek advice from specialists about applying to study in 2024, ask questions about university and what to expect. FTD students explored local Alice Springs campus facilities, and learnt about local education activities and support for health students to undertake their work-integrated learning placements in the NT.

Students also heard about Flinders Living accommodation at Bedford Park campus. Students spoke to staff from Yungkurrinthi Student Engagement Centre about the support available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Earth Sanctuary Visit

The Follow the Dream girls participated in a cultural exchange afternoon with students from Firbank Grammar at the Earth Sanctuary.

Many of the Firbank students are recent migrants from China and their first-time learning about and experiencing Aboriginal languages, culture and traditions. The students participated in activities including blind folded damper making, painting and a spear throwing game.
