During Term 3 the Prep classes are completing SAKG. During cooking sessions we have focused on how to safely use the kitchen, this includes using kitchen equipment and cleaning up. We made Alphabet Grissini the first week, making a bread dough shaped into the first letter of our name. We ate our bread letters with some freshly made hummus. The following week we baked bread rolls in flowerpots, using herbs and seeds to flavour and decorate. We made a Tzatziki dip to eat with our flowerpot bread.
In a garden session we sowed seeds of sugar snap peas and broad beans in egg cartons. The seeds have started to germinate in the classroom. We will keep watering the seeds and watch the seedlings grow.
