Junior Art

In Art with the younger students the journey into their imaginations continues. Students have used their imaginations to depict the monster that lives at Mary Elizabeth’s house (courtesy of the picture story book by Pamela Allen), as well as depicting themselves playing with their favourite toy.  For the grade 1 and 2’s some more technical aspects have been explored such as using the principle of perspective to depict things near and far in their drawings, thus beginning to learn how artists create the illusion of depth in their artworks. 

Senior Art

Senior students have begun work on 2 new projects in Term 3. Grades 3 and 4 students are creating monochromatic still life paintings and our Grade 5 and 6 students are designing tiles inspired by traditional Islamic designs.
