Amir Khoshvaghti - Resident McClelland Photographer

Amir has been assigned ‘Resident McClelland Photographer’ for our major events. “I started my photography journey beginning when I was 13 years old.  I used my parents phone to take pictures as I had no phone.  On my 13th birthday, I received a camera as a gift.  It was a Canon 700D.  I immediately signed up for a photography class.  One of the photographers I worked with was Sina Seif.  I traveled to different places and found my passion in portrait photography which is taking pictures of people.  Other interests I have with photography are modelling photography, fashion and family shots.

After I finished the photography course, I learned how to edit my photos and would like to  begin my own photography business one day.  When I have a camera in my hand, I know no fear."

Staff vs Student  Trivia Competition

On Wednesday 22nd May, the VCE students competed in a trivia competition against teams of staff.  It was a hard fought battle, with the teachers gaining the ascendency with the topics of national flags and famous faces, only to be pegged back by the students in the final round using questions that they had submitted themselves.

There could only be one winner however, with the teacher team comprising Mr Hunt, Mr Joy, Ms Murphy, Ms Xin and Ms Piper ultimately victorious.

The standings for the Staff vs Student events for the year are as follows:

Staff: 2 wins (water polo, trivia)

Students: 2 wins (volleyball, dodgeball)
