S A K & Garden

Alba Galban- Stephanie Alexander Garden Specialist

Winter has arrived and the garden has changed again. Students have been exploring the change of the season, using their senses to learn about the garden by investigating what they find. The year 3/4 students are looking at different ways of improving the specific areas they have been allocated by using past knowledge. The students have been challenged to work in groups, to communicate what they will be doing within their specific areas. The Year 2 students are investigating ‘things that make them curious’, we will as a group discuss and perhaps even run a workshop in Term 3.

Winter is a great time to plant garlic, cabbage, silverbeet , cauliflower, replant strawberries, feed some of those plants that need it, fix up and repair for better seasons to come.

If you would like to volunteer in the garden on Thursdays and Fridays please don’t hesitate to call me 0409 514 568
