Music

This term, the Concert and Jazz Band have welcomed the members of the Junior band into their ensembles. The Junior Band members have been learning their instruments and developing their skills over the past three terms, and now they are playing with the more senior ensembles.

Our ensembles are preparing for the Creative Arts Night, which will be held in the Our Lady of The Rosary Theatre on 26 November 2019. On this night, a number of Art and Language works will be on display, and there will be both individual and group Drama and Music performances. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Congratulations to Nick Hannan, in Year 11. Nick plays the trumpet in both our Concert and Jazz Bands, as well as being a member of numerous community musical groups. Nick has just been announced as the winner of the Instrumental Scholarship through the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music for 2020. 

If you are interested in becoming involved in the band or choir at McCarthy next year, please come and speak with Ms Swan this term so we can begin to plan for 2020.
