Hackham East School Sports Day

Parents/Caregivers, family and friends are invited to attend Sports Day at Hackham East Primary School on Friday 22/9. Sports Day will be begin at 9:00am - please see the program attached below.

2017 poses a lot of questions in our new look Sports Day. This year in an effort to engage the community we have restructured our Sports Day to include multiple ‘Sports’ rather than ‘Athletics’. As part of this we have invited local clubs and sporting organisations to run stations and set up stalls with information about how to register to play for a local club.

We see this year as an important process in our preparation for coordinating a Twilight Sports Day. We hope the attendance for our 2018 Twilight Sports Day will mirror the attendance of our Christmas concerts and provide more opportunity for parents to attend and give our students an opportunity to perform in front of a large audience.

We keep our fingers and toes crossed that Friday Week 9 provides us with good weather. In the event of rain, regular classes will commence and Sports Day will be rescheduled for Friday of week 10.

Team colours have been allocated for each student. If unsure please look at the list posted in the window by the entrance to the Health room.

Students can dress in their team colours on the day.  Please make sure that students are wearing suitable footwear for sporting events and all students need to be wearing a school dress code hat.

If students are using coloured hairspray please make sure that this is used at home and not at school for the safety of children/adults who may have respiratory conditions.

Tea and Coffee will be available for visitors in the Penney Unit, Conference Room during Sports Day. Come along and take a break during recess and lunch times.
