Hoop Time
On Friday, the 23th of August 2019, some of the Year 5/6 students went to Reservoir High school to represent our school in the Hooptime basketball tournament. Sadly we didn’t make it into the finals but we scored some great goals in our games. The girls scored 6 points throughout their games and the boys scored 8 points. We all did our best and had fun.

“At the conclusion of the last game between the boys from Sacred Heart and Preston West Primary school, a parent from the opposition school came up to me and congratulated our boys on the spirit they brought to the game. He was really impressed with their attitude despite being soundly beaten. They never complained just kept giving their best” (Mark)
Learning Dispositions
As a staff we have been unpacking what are some important learning dispositions (attitudes) that learners should have to succeed in life. Therefore, our big question has been -
"What do we see as the most important values to have as a lifelong learner?"
We would appreciate your feedback as to what are your most valued learning dispositions for your child (and for yourself as a learner)! Please complete the Google Form by following the link below or scanning the QR code. You will be asked to checkbox six of your most valued learning dispositions out of a list of fourteen.
Thank you!

If you wish to complete the survey and do not receive an email from CEMIS by Friday 13th September please contact me. The survey is available online, can be accessed from Monday 2 September and needs to be completed by Friday 20 September. Your responses will be confidential. In preparation for the survey the school privacy policy has been updated and is available on our school website.

iNewsletter
Over the next few weeks we will be trialling a new online newsletter called iNewsletter, this is to decrease the amount of paper we are using and to help our environment. This newsletter can be emailed directly to your email account and can be viewed on your computer, mobile or tablet. If you wish to see how this will look, type in the following link in your browser to view the latest newsletter https://inewsletter.co/xaVGnv/latest
We will continue to put the current newsletter on the Skoolbag app and to hand out a hard copy to the students each week while parents and guardians get used to this new format.
