Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Father's Day

Firstly, I would like to wish all the dads a very special Father’s Day this Sunday. I hope that your families can make the day a special one for you, and they are able to show how much they appreciate everything you do for them. I know that a lot of effort went into selecting presents at the Father’s Day Stall last Friday. The gifts chosen by your lovely children have been chosen with much love. Again, thank you to all the mums who helped in organising, preparing and selling at the stall.

Hoop Time

Last Friday, I had the privilege of taking two of our Year Five/Six basketball teams, to complete in the district hooptime basketball tournament. Despite not winning on the scoreboard, I was extremely proud of the girls and boys, and how the represented our school with smiles on their faces and a spirit of determination and resilience. Well done to all.

Life Skills Parent Night

Last Wednesday parents from our school and from the wider community, participated in an information session on the topic of anxiety and resilience. The presenter introduced some strategies to use with our children, when challenged with what is becoming a more prevalent issue in our society.

Learning Dispositions

A reminder to parents that we are looking for your input into the development of the learning dispositions we want our children to attain and use during their time at Sacred Heart School. The process for developing these dispositions will be based upon student, staff and parent input. Following in this newsletter, is the information on how to give input from Belinda our Learning and Teaching Coordinator.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Tierney
