Toddler Room

What happened in March

During the month of March the children were busy learning through play, by engaging in various craft activities, building friendships, playing musical activities and enjoying the outdoors.

Fine Motor Skills

We have been focusing on improving their fine motor skills. Planning activities such as threading, painting and drawing on varies materials. The children have been showing lots of interest and displaying great work.

Cooking

We have been busy cooking in the home corner, making spaghetti and meatballs with pom poms and wool. The children have been interacting amongst themselves in dramatic play. To extend the experience we planned a homemade bread experience. The children enjoyed mixing, counting and tasting the yummy bread.

Group Time

Each day we like to introduce the children to different group time experiences. We have had fun playing music, singing songs, interacting with the Australian animals and introducing our families to the Toddler room. The children are all interested in varies activities and by planning different group time activities it helps all children to feel comfortable and actively engage.

Harmony Week

Lots of craft activities during Harmony Week. The children made colourful paper chains, necklaces and hand prints.  The children expressed their favourite colours and shapes. It was pleasing to watch the children build on their confidence as they ventured in activities throughout the day.
