New EAL Staff

2018 EAL Team

The EAL Team in 2018 has grown.  Ms. Felicity Hemiak and Ms. Yvette Medina are joined by several new teachers:

Ashlee Bolger

Ms. Ashlee Bolger was born in Australia but has Irish, English and French heritage.

 

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ballarat University and a Diploma of Education also from Ballarat University. She has worked at the college for the last 11 years teaching Visual Arts.

 

She loves Mexican food the most and would love to travel to England to watch the EPL.

Bradley Collins

Mr. Bradley Collins studied a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching at Latrobe University majoring in Biology and Science, but can also teach Maths. He currently teaches Biology, Science, and Maths at Staughton College.

 

He loves playing and following all kinds of sport, but his favourites would have to be Aussie Rules and Basketball.  

 

Mr. Collines was born in Australia, but his relatives originated from England.

Tim Davey

Mr. Tim Davey has been teaching Food Studies, Maths, and PE at Staughton College for many years now.  Presently, he looks after the Senior School Pathways  Yr 10/11/12 and VCAL/VET and teaches Year 9/10 Food Studies and shares EAL Numeracy with Mr Collins.

 

Last year, he was on long service leave and went travelling through Europe and North America. His favourite countries were Croatia and Italy, and cities Berlin, Prague and Florence. His favourite natural attraction was the Plitvice lakes in Croatia.

 

Mr. Davey's grandparents and parents all born in Australia.

Kelly Rozynski

Ms. Kelly Rozynski was born in Australia, but the name Rozynski originated in Poland. Graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Education from Victoria University where she majored in English and P.E. Ms. Rozynski has travelled to China, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, London, The Czech Republic and America.  She would love to continue her travels and explore new countries and cultures.

 

Currently the EAL Coordinator, Miss Rozynski is looking forward to a great year with a great team of enthusiastic teachers!

John Tikulin

Mr. John Tikulin is first generation Australian, born in Melbourne. His parents were born on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. They migrated to Melbourne in the late 1950's and finally settled in the scenic and majestic suburb of Thomastown. At Bendigo University, whilst studying Business Management and History, Mr. Tikulin met his future wife and undertook an additional year to become a teacher.

 

Today, Mr. Tikulin enjoys precious moments with family and friends, by dining out at his favorite Spanish, Malaysian, Japanese and/or seafood restaurants. In addition, Mr. Tikulin always looks forward to his next overseas trip, in particular revisiting his favorite destinations such as the Dalmatian coast, the Egyptian Nile, the Amalfi Coast, Cornwall and the Scottish highlands.
