Swimming Carnival
Last Friday the Years 3-10 school competed in the annual school swimming carnival. Everyone participated keenly in very hot conditions. The following students were awarded aged champion and runner-up recognition for their respective age groups.
The following students swam exceptionally well and broke school records. Ruby Drogemuller (Junior Girl 50m Backstroke), Ava Macey (11years Girl 50m Breaststroke) and Harrison George (11years Boy 50m Freestyle). These students, along with many others, will now participate at the Armidale Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Armidale next Friday.
Secondary also broke quite a few records. Well done to Alexander Macey (14 yrs 100m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, 200m Medley), Gabrielle Elbourne (50m Freestyle, 200m Medley) and Piper Phillis (50m Backstroke).
A big thank you to all our fantastic parent helpers who assisted in the smooth running of the carnival. We appreciate you greatly!
Armidale Diocesan Cricket
Last Friday, two of our very competent primary cricketers, Angus Reardon and Will Slack-Smith, represented the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Cricket Trials in Newcastle. Both students competed against students from the Newcastle, Lismore, Broken Bay and Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese for a spot in the Polding Cricket Team. The boys played extremely well in all facets of the trial but unfortunately were unsuccessful in gaining selection in the Polding Team. Well done on a tremendous effort!
