New staff at St Albans Secondary College

Barbara Slusarczyk

Currently, I am a Numeracy Education Support Teacher at year 10 level. I am enthusiastic about helping students understand their maths learning. I have taught in both Government and Independent Schools in Victoria and overseas. My favourite book is Miss Tilly O’Toole – a Little Golden book – read many times to my children when they were young. My best recent read was Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine. I listen to any music but prefer to choose classical. I enjoy growing fragrant roses and herbs. Many pets have been cherished over the years, particularly German Shepherds and Ragdoll cats. I have 3 adult children who are happily working in preferred fields due to their attitude to lifelong learning. One day I would like to read a book while fishing and watching my roses bloom.

Ebony Kemeridis

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Ebony Kemeridis and I am joining St. Albans Secondary College after previous experience as a private tutor and dance teacher under the Australian Academy of Theatrical and Ballet Dancing Inc. I am currently making myself at home teaching English, Integrated Studies and Dance here at the College. If anybody would like to talk about the Harry Potter series, dogs or Snow White, I am up for a chat!

Pat Lac

My name is Pat Lac. This is my first year working at SASC and I am currently teaching English and EAL (English as a second language). I have been an English and EAL teacher in Australia since 2007 and I also taught English overseas for over two years in Vietnam. Besides teaching English and EAL, I also teach Year 12 Vietnamese on Saturdays  at one of the VSL campuses. Throughout the years working at a teacher I have held a number of different positions of responsibilities such as Year 11 Coordinator, EAL Coordinator and Student forum coordinator. I like to learn languages and very much interested in learning about different cultures. Besides English, I can speak Vietnamese, Mandarin and some basic Cantonese. I am very excited to be a member of our SASC and I hope that with my skills and experiences I will be able to contribute positively to the learning and teaching at our college.
