Junior School Report

The Junior Sub School is a constant buzz again with a lot of events happening. Term 4 is a busy time of the year and students have been working hard to get their best results and to complete assessments for reports. Staff have completed progress reports for students and Coordinators are catching up with students who need extra assistance in submitting work prior to final reports.

Year 7 classes have been on class walks to St Albans to study the commercial shopping centre and learn about civics.

End of Year Activities are being planned for the final week with Year 7 and 8 participating in organised activities at school. We look forward to seeing all students at school in the last week of term.

Year 8 Camps are still in progress and students are having a wonderful time with their classes at Strathbogie where they are canoeing, having BBQ’s, making pizza dinners, visiting Polly McQuinn Waterfalls, swimming, visiting a farm, going for night walks and seeing the wildlife at night and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

8K Camp Report

Strathbogie Camp 2019

At this year’s Strathbogie camp, we participated in a handful of activities. On the first day, we had a slight stop at a town near the camp grounds to eat fish and chips. After another hour or so on the bus, we finally arrived. When we got there, we had a small talk with Roz, unpacked our bags and rested a few hours before dinner. On the second day, we did activities such as archery and water sports. We had the most fun, and we were a tad jealous of Mr. St Pierre for getting two badges from archery. We also had the most enjoyable time during water sports. We tried paddle boating, kayaking and canoeing and even fell over many times! Considering the fact that this was our last camp, we had a bittersweet moment on the last day, especially when saying goodbye to Roz. On behalf of 8K, we would like to thank Roz for providing us with the tastiest food and making our camp extra fun. We hope to see you again and we hope you don’t miss us too much! We would also like to thank our amazing teachers Mr. St Pierre, Miss Main and Miss Williams for organising this camp! A special thank you to Miss Williams for waking up early and helping us make the food!
