Student Achievements

Discus Champion
Year 6 student Liam Molloy recently won first place in the South Metro Regional SSV Athletics for 12 YO Discus. This is the first time a Kilvington student qualified for SSV Athletics at State level.
Then at the State Competition held on 29 October, Liam came 9th overall out of 16 throwers, placing him in the top 10 in the State. Not a bad result for never holding a discus just over a year ago!
Congratulations and well done Liam!!
Foundation for Youth Excellence Award
Edgar Chen has been granted the Foundation for Youth Excellence by the Glen Eira City Council to support his outstanding musical achievements.
Grants are given out on a quarterly basis and awarded to young people to help them achieve further success in their chosen field.
What an amazing achievement!! Congratulations Edgar!
Backing Choir for Foreigner
Year 9 students Nathan Broadbent and Charlotte Glassel sang in a backing choir for the band Foreigner last night, and Monday night at Hamer Hall. What a fantastic experience for them!
The two sold-out shows were high energy and the audience joined in all of their big hits including I Wanna Know What Love Is, Urgent, Hot Blooded and Cold as Ice.
Charlotte and Nathan are members of Young Voices of Melbourne who were asked to provide the 20-strong backing choir. Young Voices of Melbourne are an auditioned choir run by Kilvington Alumni-Dad, Mark O’Leary, who was awarded an OAM this year for his services to choral music over three decades.
He is currently auditioning for new choir members from Grade 1 up. For more information, please click here.
