VCE Recital Spring Concert

We congratulate all of our music students who performed so enthusiastically at the Spring Concert held on Tuesday, 30 October.  Audiences were treated to an entertaining evening of a variety of music ensembles and choirs.  We wish to thank all students, staff, family and friends for contributing to the success of this wonderful concert.

Celebration Night

The following groups will be performing at Celebration Night: Orchestra, Concert Band, Krooners, Cantata, Kadences, Years 4 to 6 Choir, Contemporary Choir, selected dances and selected monologues.  A rehearsal schedule will be sent home soon with allocated times for rehearsal on Friday, 23 November.

Valedictory Dinner

Recently the Kilvington Stage Band performed Jazz, Blues and Rock standards in the foyer before the Annual Valedictory Dinner. 

 

Many of the parents who attended gathered around to listen to what was an exciting and exhilarating performance.

 

Songs included Jungle Boogie, Black Cat, Hawaii 5 O and Basin Street Blues. Year 12s were featured for the last time, including Aidan McShane playing Burrito’s on baritone sax and Harry Millikan performing Wipe Out on drums.  What an energetic and exciting performance!!

VCE Recital

On Thursday November 1, our Unit 2 VCE music students Toshi Preston, James Puli, Tony Churilov and Ben Churilov performed their recitals to an appreciative audience. 

 

Instruments included piano, percussion and guitar. The boys all prepared their programs well and delivered polished performances.  Congratulations to all the students.

Star of the Week​

Zander von Steigler - for his contribution to light and sound throughout the year at music concerts and support of the Music Department.

Join the Victorian Opera Youth Chorus Ensemble in 2019

Who: For secondary school and tertiary students, aged 13 to 20.

When: Every Tuesday evening during school terms.

Where: Horti Hall, 31 Victoria Street, Melbourne.
