2021 Prep Transition Sessions - Book Now!

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your patience as Brighton PS works to finalise our revised Prep transition sessions. We are really looking forward to meeting our Prep 2021 students.

We have been planning a Prep Parent Information & Transition Session at Brighton Primary School while also working within the current State Government Covid guidelines (see outlined below), which must be followed. These stipulate that groups of no more than 10 visitors at any time can visit a school.

In the next few days we will share information on how to book into one of our 30 minute information and transition sessions. Attendance to these sessions will be in groups of 10 comprised of 5 prep students and 1 parent per student.

Dates and times for the sessions will be:

  • Thursday 19th November
  • Friday 20th November
  • Thursday 26th November
  • Friday 27th November
  • Tuesday 1st December

On each of these days there will be 4 sessions to choose from, each running for 30 minutes:

  • 9.15 - 9.45
  • 10.00 - 10.30
  • 11.15 - 11.45
  • 12.00 - 12.30

To book in for a session we will use the CompassTix booking system.  A link to CompassTix will be sent in a Compass newsfeed on Thursday 12th November.

We look forward to welcoming our new families to Brighton Primary School.

State government guidelines require schools to adhere to the following during their 2021 Prep Transition Sessions:

  • No intermixing with other children at the school is permitted as part of the visits. Schools will only be allowed to have one small group visit the school at any one time (i.e. there may not be multiple groups of 10 visiting the school at the same time).
  • Children attending the transition activities must be enrolled in the school
  • Schools/services to follow standard practices for recording information of all visitors
  • The 10 visitors to a school must remain in the designated area assigned for the transition activity
  • Strict physical distancing should be observed
  • Face masks to be worn by all adults
  • Cleaning of all areas used for the transition activity, including high touch points, toilets, etc after each session
  • Regular hand hygiene
  • No food be offered or exchanged in the transition activities
