Back to School - SELF REGULATION - A Message from our Wellbeing Team

For some of us, being back onsite may present some emotional issues.  Whilst it is an exciting time, we need to understand  that we may feel a little insecure, and a little bit worried.  Often there is the underlying question

"Have things changed?"

"Will the same friendship rules apply?"

"Will I cope with the work?"

We need to focus on being happy and hang on to the feeling of excitement:  this is the beginning of yet another chapter.

The poster above offers some coping strategies which we hope will help.  Most importantly, it is NORMAL to feel overwhelmed at times, you are not alone! And a reminder that, YES! Students are welcome to self refer to the Wellbeing Team.

World Mental Health Month 2020 - "Look after your mental health Australia"

1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness annually, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritising mental health and wellbeing has been more important than ever.  During World Mental Health Month – October 2020 – the message is simple:

Look after your mental health, Australia.”
