School Council
Like all schools, John Fawkner College has its very own school council.
The school council is a close knit group of parents, teachers, students and community members as well as the principal, Mark Natoli, who meet every month to help monitor the direction and financial health of the school.
We are a diverse group, with different backgrounds, cultures, interests and skills. We are mechanics and target shooters, we are readers and singers. We are gardeners and carers, cooks and mathematicians. But first and foremost, we are people who seek to support and nurture the school and the students within it.
The school council has sub committees including finance, governance and the parents and friends group, who are interested in fundraising and strengthening the school community. We are always keen to have parents join these subcommittees because we support transparency and good communication.
We are looking for parents to join us now.
While we are proud of the positive changes that have occurred in the school, there is still more work to do.
We would love to meet more parents from the school community. We believe that everyone has something to offer no matter how big or small.
Please email parentsandfriends.jfc@gmail.com to express your interest in being involved and let's work together to make our school shine.
