Connecting to UWA: Opportunity for students in Years  9-12

After recent workshops by the UWA School Engagement Team to our Year 9 and 10 students an opportunity has been extended to students from Years 9-12.

They are seeking some participants who experienced this workshop to be part of a consultation to see how they can better improve this offering.

Date                    Thursday 26 November

Time                    4.00pm – 5.30pm

Location             EZONE UWA

What to bring:  Pen, Paper, Water bottle. Drinks and snack provided.

They will need to be responsible to make their own way to and from the university. For their time, students that participate in this consultation will be provided $30 gift card for their time and effort. Something they can add to their resume.

A few students have already expressed an interest in attending. Please contact the Pathways Team as soon as possible if you would like to participate.

Work Experience Feedback: Well done Year 11 students!

Many of our Year 11 students who had some spare time during the exam weeks signed up for work experience through Instepwest. These students gain valuable employability skills and complete an Authority Developed Endorsed Program which can be counted towards their Senior School achievements.

I was delighted to receive some very positive feedback from Paul Waddell (Instepwest Coordinator) regarding the positive attitude and enthusiasm from some of our students. The partnership between the College, Instepwest and the employers is extremely important in our ability to provide a range of worthwhile opportunities for our students now and in the future.
