Staff meet with architect to plan Stage 2B
Following our recent exciting news of being successful in the latest round of Victorian Non-Government School Capital Grant funding, we have wasted no time in commencing our design consultation process with our teams so that we can be sure to deliver our new Stage 2B building ready for the commencement of the 2023 school year.
On Thursday, November 12, we were pleased to host our masterplan architect Dr Ken Woodman and Tanya Butler from the team at No. 42 Architects to begin reviewing the initial floor plan. This allows us to build a greater understanding and appreciation for important aspects connected to the specialist learning streams of Arts, Science and our School of Wonder spaces, which must be incorporated into the design and function. We were blown away by the diverse and abstract thinking of our teams. Their willingness to bring to this thinktank session such impressive and progressive ways of being able to deliver the curriculum to our learners is inspirational and what St Anne's College is about.
We have many more sessions in planning as we work through our design phase, and there will be opportunities ongoing for all of our teams and community to be involved with this journey, as we plan out our building resources to support the ongoing increase to our year level cohorts, and in particular as we move into the School of Possibilities.
