Theatre Studies

After a year full of false starts for the Theatre Studies class they were finally able to costume up and perform. Instead of the public, family, and friends, the students’ first performance was to a panel of examiners as they presented their seven minute monologue and interpretation statement. The culmination of two years of Theatre Studies was delivered in a heart beat and in this moment the students demonstrated their resilience, creativity and good spirits. The trip to the venue was full of anticipation and butterflies and the trip home was full of not only a feeling of relief but also the joy that is felt when you have arisen to the challenge, no matter how hard it seems, and achieved it.

And the feeling for me, as a teacher, was one of intense pride in these students and their success.
