What is the Colour Fun Run you ask?

It is a super fun event where the students will run in their grade around a circuit and over obstacles whilst getting covered with colour.  Students will run the course twice.

What should the children wear?

Friday will be a mufti day. It is suggested that light coloured clothing shows up the colour best. Only wear old clothes you are happy to get coloured.

What shoes should be worn?

It is recommended that your child/ren not wear their white school sports shoes. Students should wear an old pair of joggers.

What hat should they wear?

Students should not wear their school hat. They will be in the sun for a couple of hours so an old hat that best protects them from the sun should be worn. All students must have a hat.

Make sure they have sunscreen on as well.

What else should my child bring?

  • A big smile
  • Water bottle
  • Old towel to sit on - be aware that it will probably get colour on it.

What do we do with the Blue Sponsorship Card?

All students have received the Sponsor cards but please contact the office if for some reason your child's has gone missing.

  1. Get as many sponsors as possible. Go nuts!
  2. Write your child's name on the top right-hand corner of the front of the card. Very important.
  3. Return the card to school on Thursday or Friday morning?
  4. Give yourself a high 5 for a great job.

How do we donate the money raised?

  1. All sponsorship money is to be paid through QUICKCLIQ (online canteen). Click on the link below.
  2. Click on the EVENTS tab. Unfortunately, we cannot take cash.
  3. It would be ideal if all monies were paid into QuickCliq by Friday 4 December
  4. If you have any problems please contact the school office.

Are there any prizes?

There are some amazing prizes for those who raise the most money.

The biggest prize of all is for the class who raises the most money. That class will get to colour Mrs Charadia and Mr A.

Can parents or other family member attend?

Usually, we would very much welcome attendance by parents and family members but due to our COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to accommodate this. We will provide some photos and video for you in next week's newsletter.

Colour Powder Facts

Is the colour powder safe?

The colour powder is certified, non-toxic, biodegradable and environmentally safe. It's made up of 98% corn starch and 2% permitted colours safe for kids.

What if the colour gets into participants eyes?

Teachers and volunteers will throw the powder at the torso, however, wind and other factors can cause the powder to protrude on the face. Don’t be concerned if it does, because the powder is non-toxic and a simple rinse with water will take care of that.

FREE SUNNIES!

Participants are to wear the provided sunglasses as it will greatly reduce the chances of colour powder getting into the eyes.

Can the powder be inhaled?

It’s a lot like breathing in dust and dirt, extensive exposure is not recommended and we will do our best to ensure this does not occur. People with lung issues such as asthma are advised to be careful and have their asthmas puffers with them. Staff will be on hand if needed.

Does the powder clean out of clothes?

Although colour powder washes out very easily, we advise you not to wear your best clothes or white school sports shoes. The colour powder will wash out after several washes.

Will the colour wash off skin and hair?

Yes! The easiest way to get it off is while it’s still dry (shake, wiggle or jump up and down). Soap and water, with a little rinse will do the trick. If water is added to the event there is a potential of staining hair, however, it will wash out over time.

If your child is not participating in the colour run, please contact the school office via email.
