Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

Year 12 Students
Our Year 12 students enjoyed their Farewell Assembly on Thursday 29 October 2020 and the Year 12 Breakfast on Friday 30 October 2020 and once again our senior students did themselves, their families and the College proud in the way they conducted themselves. We are very proud of them and especially for the way they have handled themselves during this challenging year. We wish all of the VCE students the very best for their exams and keep them and the VCAL students in our prayers as this chapter of their life comes to a close and they commence a new chapter.
Uniform
Our College has a fantastic uniform and following our successful transitioning back to face to face learning on campus, it is now appropriate for us to focus on our uniform. A reminder that all students are expected to be in full school uniform, including boys being clean shaven. If there are any questions regarding the uniform, please refer to pages 12 & 13 of the Student Organiser.
End of Year Awards Assemblies
All students from Year 7-11 finish classes on Thursday 3 December 2020 at 1.10pm. On this day there will be Awards Assemblies for Year 7-9 students and Year 10-11 students. Parents are most welcome to join us on Zoom for these Assemblies. The Zoom details are below:

Up until Thursday 3 December 2020 our students will continue to be working hard and, especially given the amount of face to face class time missed, it is our expectation that all students attend all classes and continue working hard until the very end of the year.
Remembrance Day 11 November
Yesterday we took time to stop, reflect and give thanks to God for our freedom and all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and their country, as well as praying for peace and for the souls of all those who have died at the hands of war. Throughout this week students had the opportunity to purchase a poppy, pen or badge at Students Services commemorating Remembrance Day.
Assist A Student Free Dress Day, Thursday 12 November 2020
On Thursday 12 November 2020 students were invited to attend in free dress and donate $3.00 - $5.00 toward the St Vincent de Paul Assist a Student Program. This program is to support students who may otherwise struggle to get an education which is so important for their future. We encourage all students to support and any donations will be gratefully accepted.
Seeking Information
One of our students was hit by a car at the intersection of Elonera Road and Oakwood Avenue, Noble Park North, at approximately 1.30 pm on Tuesday 3, November 2020 (Melbourne Cup Day). The student was injured but has returned to school. The police are seeking information. If you know anything, please contact me at the College.
Focus
As we come towards the end of the term it is important students maintain focus and keep working hard until the end of the year. If there is anything that may be making it difficult for students to work to their full potential at this time, please contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher so as we can support as much as we possibly can.
