STEAM News

Welcome to STEAM news at Edenhope College. Our P-7 STEAM students are looking forward for 21st century challenge to solve problems with innovation and creativity.

In STEAM the Foundation students have had the task to make a house out of straws, that the Big Bad Wolf couldn’t blow down. There were a lot of puzzled faces to begin with but by sharing ideas the houses started taking shape. Hopefully we fooled the wolf!

Arrays: Solving multiplication Problem:

Year 3/4 students are learning multiplication through arrays and solving word problems on multiplication in Minecraft. They are using blocks on arrays and posting the multiplication sign.

Solar Oven

In STEAM, Year 5/6 students are getting ready to save the energy bill for their family through using the solar power. Year 5-6 students made a solar oven with using the very low cost household items.

Their solar oven will directly use the power of the Sun to cook up some tasty treats this summer. Well-done Year 5/6 students for thinking about saving energy!

 Forces change the shape

Year 7 students have tested that forces that change the shape of the object.
