Intensive English Language Program

The students in G1 have been learning about procedures. Over the last few weeks, we have learnt how to make fairy bread, popcorn, and pasta necklaces. We were able to try   making our own fairy bread and pasta necklaces during class. 

First, we learnt about verbs and how they tell us what to do. Then we learnt the names of each ingredient, so we knew which one to use. We made sure to listen to the instructions and carefully follow the steps. After we made the items, we had a go at writing our own procedures. We had a lot of fun! 

This term, Y3 students are also learning how to write a procedure and we incorporated our learning to make a wreath on Remembrance Day. 

We also read the story of Puppets and we made Sock Puppets.   We introduced literacy circles to boost our reading skills and confidence through different games. This new activity has helped them to explore teamwork and communication skills.
