Launch of the Heatherton Student Podcast
In preparing students to be participants in 21st Century society, it is vital that students become discerning consumers of digital information. Better still, when students become creators of quality digital information. Giving students opportunities to share their own knowledge and insights is a great way to develop their voice. Students have valuable things to say and to share.
A Podcast is one avenue to help students gain the confidence to find their voice, and to speak into the public discourse. We are proud to introduce the Heatherton Student Podcast. In this first series of Podcasts, the Year 11 History class share the fruits of their research into the lives of individuals who lived through the tumultuous years of change between 1918 and 1939. The first three episodes are now available online with three more episodes coming soon. Episodes of the Podcast explore the lives of people such as Coco Chanel, Oliver Wendall Holmes and The Kulaks of Penza.
Please be aware the content is rated PG+ and exercise caution when listening to the Podcast if children can overhear.
