Hello Glen Waverley Primary School! My name is Nimmer, your 2022 school Vice-Captain.

Welcome to another fabulous edition of our school newsletter!

There is a real buzz in the air as all students are looking forward to participating in our upcoming Whole School Colour Run on Monday 21st November! 

This is going to be an epic day, filled with so much fun for everyone! The fun run is an exciting way to raise money for our school! The course will include giant inflatables and lots of colours being thrown. So far, we have raised just over $35,000, placing us just over halfway from our goal of $50,000!

I also wanted to share with you about a charity event that has started at the school in conjunction with the Salvation Army. The Christmas Appeal initiativeallows our school community to donate canned food and place it in the box in front of the office. All of the food collected is donated to the Salvation Army and shared with families who are less fortunate at Christmas time. You can donate any of the following items until Friday the 9th of December. 

• Christmas items (puddings, cakes, Minnie’s, pies, shortbread, etc.)
• Tinned food (soups, meals, vegetables etc)
• Meal bases (pasta sauce, rice, curry etc)
• Please ensure items have a long expiry date and are non-perishable

Another exciting activity this week is the Summer Round Robin. Here, the Year 6s will be paying various sports like T-ball, Softball, Tennis, Cricket and Danish rounders.
