Celebration Night

After a two-year absence due to COVID restrictions, it is very exciting that we can all join together again for Celebration Night. Various choirs and ensembles will be performing on the night, including our combined Orchestra and Concert Band, Contemporary Choir, Kadences and a Dance Medley by the Kilvington Dancers. 

Our traditional farewell song to the Year 12s  'When Will I See You’ will be performed by all students from Years 4 to 11 and our finale song, 'The Prayer', will be performed by the Krooners. 

We hope you enjoy the performances at Celebration Night on Friday 25 November at Robert Blackwood Hall, commencing at 7.30pm. Performers please take note of Consent2Go times for bus departures.

Years 2 and 3 String Program Concert

The Years 2 and 3 String Program students will be given the opportunity to perform in front of their parents and staff on Tuesday 29 November in Dalton Hall. The program will commence at 11.10am and conclude at 11.40am.

Year 5 Band Concert

All Year 5 students will participate in the Band Concert on Thursday 1 December. All parents and friends are welcome to attend. Further details will be communicated to parents via Consent2Go. This is an excellent opportunity for the Year 5 students to demonstrate how much they have learnt this year in the program.

Music Tuition enrolment forms for 2023

Music enrolment forms are now due in for 2023. If your child is interested in learning an instrument next year, can you please ensure you return an enrolment form to the Music Department.  

The Music Department has many instrumental classes available including string instruments, brass and woodwind instruments, voice, keyboard and speech and drama. There is also a large choice of ensembles for your child to participate in.

Unit 2 VCE Music Recital

On Thursday 3 November, our Unit 2 Music Performance students presented their 15-minute music recitals, which is an assessed outcome for the Unit. 

The recital is an opportunity for students to develop performance and expressive skills as a musician. It’s a great step toward Unit 3/4 where they complete a recital up to 25 minutes. 

The students worked very hard to put together a repertoire that explored their range and style on their instruments. We had a variety of guitar, drumkit and vocal performances. 

It was wonderful to see support from families that attended. Congratulations to Lucas Kallio, Freya Watters, Henry McArthur and Renae Bekas for their enjoyable performances.
