iBelong Day

On Wednesday 19th October, 16 students attended the CHIPS 'iBelong Day' at Lysterfield Lake accompanied by myself and Josh.  The weather was perfect; we couldn't have asked for a nicer day! We enjoyed and challenged ourselves with the following activities: sailing in the sail boats, rides on the rescue boat, billy carting, bike riding and swimming/paddling in the lake. There were yummy apple slinkies and wellbeing sessions with Captain Eric. Through Eric's use of stories, props and magic tricks, students learnt how their brains work and strategies to control their emotions. There was an emphasis on encouraging each other, teamwork and 'getting along'. It was a day of fun and connection that was enjoyed by all.
