Student of the Week Awards Presented 28/10/22

Caughey T. - 00L
This award goes to Caughey for her wonderful start at Scoresby Primary School. She has jumped into learning activities with great enthusiasm and eagerly shares her learning with our class. In Reading, Caughey showed the HEART value of Acceptance by working cooperatively with her team to find the different non-fiction features in their book. Caughey, we are so happy to have you in Foundation L!
Alyssa S. - 1/2D
Alyssa is to be congratulated for demonstrating the HEART value of Excellence and Respect this week. She has shown determination to achieve her personal best in all learning areas and willingly helps others when they need support. Alyssa, you are most definitely ready for Grade 3 next year – keep working hard. You’re a star!
Taoipu A. - 1/2G
This award goes to Taoipu for his efforts in our persuasive unit. He is an attentive listener which allowed him to create a wonderful persuasive letter to Mrs Hartley. On top of this he has been working hard on his handwriting. He has been persistent and resilient and this has allowed him to grow his handwriting skills. You should be very proud of yourself T.
Jesse W. - 1/2K
This award goes to Jesse for the excellence he is displaying in getting himself organised in the morning. He is remembering to unpack his bag, placing items and equipment in their correct places and get organised in a timely manner. Well done Jesse keep up the good work!
Year 3/4 Campers - 3/4B, 3/4K, 3/4S
This award goes to the amazing students who attended Camp Oasis this week. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the different activities, demonstrating the Scoresby HEART values and fantastic teamwork. Both the camp and Scoresby staff were very impressed with the excellent manners and resilience shown.

This award goes to Levy for demonstrating the HEART Value of Excellence in writing this week. He has put lots of effort into planning and drafting his information report on Nintendo Switch Sports. He recorded the information he already knew, researched new information and wrote his draft using interesting sentences. Levy should be very proud of his work!

This award goes to Jane for being such a positive, happy member of our class! Jane embraces all the opportunities given to her and always tries her hardest to interact with both her peers and other teachers. Keep up all the great work you are doing Jane!!

This award goes to Maverick for his hardworking attitude towards all aspects of his learning. In particular in Maths this week, Mav accurately identified, estimated and measured a variety of angles. Wonderful effort Maverick! Keep up the great work!
Indiana W. - Performing Arts
This award goes to Indiana for her consistent effort and achievement in Performing Arts lessons. Indiana has successfully learnt multiple parts and can adapt her playing to suit the needs of our class ensemble. Well done Indiana!
Alyssa S. - Physical Education
This award goes to Alyssa for consistently following the HEART values in PE! Alyssa always listens carefully, tries her best and is a great role model to others. Fantastic work Alyssa! Keep it up!
Mia H. - Visual Arts
This award goes to Mia for her fabulous, mixed media poppy art piece. Mia’s collage using her woven poppy and a variety of printed papers demonstrated a terrific understanding of space and balance in her art. The layered grass and carefully cut poppy leaf added to the overall effect. Wonderful, wonderful work Mia!
Hayley R. - Mandarin
This award acknowledges Hayley for her work in Mandarin class. In the quiz, Hayley showed that she has been working very hard learning the Mandarin words. If you say "hello", she will answer in Mandarin. Great effort, Hayley!
