Staffing Update

New and departing staff - update

In my ‘Welcome back to Term 3’ letter, I provided an earlier update in relation to four staff members who had joined our NCS staff team in various capacities during this year. The following is the latest information in relation to new and departing staff.

 

Departing staff:

  • Miss Naomi Abascal (Secondary Geography/History teacher)
  • Miss Laura Treglown (Secondary English teacher)
  • Mrs Kim Mason (Secondary English teacher)
  • Mrs Brinlee Baker (Primary teacher)

These teachers are leaving us for a variety of reasons. Some will travel overseas; whilst others will assume teaching positions in schools elsewhere. I am confident that you will join with me in wishing these four valued staff members God’s rich blessings as they pursue other roles next year. There will, of course, be further opportunities for our school to officially recognise these departing teachers before the conclusion of this current school year.

 

New staff (2023):

  • Mrs Carli Green (Primary - Kindergarten teacher)
  • Miss Rebekah Gordon (Primary - Year 5 teacher)
  • Mr Adam Kuenzle (Secondary Geography teacher)
  • Mrs Joanne Beattie (Casual Relief teacher)

We are delighted to welcome the following teachers to our staff teaching team for 2023. However, we are aware that Mr Adam Kuenzle will already be well-known to many students and parents/carers. This is because Mr Kuenzle has been working at NCS since the start of Term 3 in his current role as a full-time Casual Relief teacher. This has seen him teaching many NCS students from Year 1 all the way through to HSC. Mr Kuenzle has accepted a full-time Secondary teaching role, commencing next year. Please keep both our new and departing staff members in your prayers as they make important preparations to complete the current school year before finalising plans for their next teaching roles. For a number of these staff members, this will involve a major relocation regarding their current accommodation locations.
