Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

It has been an absolutely wonderful week at Trinity in so many ways. We are having lots of parents and carers join us for our Monday morning gatherings and Friday school assemblies which is great for our children.  Our pancake breakfast this week, to celebrate Shrove Tuesday, was such a big success and a fantastic opportunity to, gather as a school community, chat and enjoy the delicious pancakes prepared by our very own master chefs, Amanda and Michael. Thank you also to the many, many parents and teachers who helped cook, serve and clean - we really appreciate this support. I am sure, like me, many of you are now really looking forward to our Multi Cultural Family Night and the amazing food that will be shared.

I think these photos sum up how much we loved our pancake breakfast!

Ash Wednesday Mass

On Wednesday we were able to celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass and mark the beginning of our Lenten journey. Fr Trung spoke to us of the need to spend time in prayer for those who are in need and to find ways that we can support others less fortunate than ourselves.  This time before Easter is a very important time for Catholics as we prepare for the events of Holy Week.  Thank you to Mr Ru, our Religious Education Leader and our student leaders for a beautiful celebration.

A very worthwhile cause. Help Support Team Kaplon

World’s Greatest Shave – Team Kaplon

Team Kaplon is made up of Maksymilian (12 years), Henryk (10 years), Rosie (8 years) who are all siblings and between them attend St Marys College & Trinity Catholic Primary school. We are reaching out to their school communities as they are all a part of this year’s World’s Greatest Shave. They want to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation to help find a cure and to support their cousin Ewan, diagnosed with Leukemia at 14 years. If you would like to donate to this terrific cause and help to find a cure, please visit the link below. My Schools Website

This week the My Schools Website was updated to include our 2022 NAPLAN data and we have great reason to celebrate as a school community. Mrs Marinelli has included, in her Student Learning page, a summary of our achievements and our learning focus for the coming year. I would like to thank her for her great leadership in Litearcy and Numeracy at Trinity and of course our amazing teachers who work so hard each day to target the learning of each child in their class.

Parent Information Night

Thank you to all our families who attended our Parent Information Night last Thursday evening. We hope that you found this a worthwhile opportunity to meet your child's teacher and other families, and learn more about the class routines, expectations and learning that will be happening across the year.

Prayer:  This week I have included the Gospel from today's mass taken from:

Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18.

The great messages of today's Gospel can help us all enact our Faith more fully this Lenten Season.

Jesus said to his disciples: “Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father.
When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others.
I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing,
so that your almsgiving may be secret.
And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.
“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them.
I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.
“When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites. They neglect their appearance, so that they may appear to others to be fasting.
I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden.
And your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you.”
Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18.
