Families who have applied for a Conveyance and/or Bus Conveyance Allowance in previous years do not need to complete a new form for 2023 -  unless their circumstances have changed - for example, an additional child within their family has joined the school and/or they are now using the school bus.

Families who have moved address must submit a new application form in order to qualify for ongoing conveyance allowance.  New families who believe they may qualify for the Conveyance Allowance are encouraged to complete a form and submit their applications if they have not already done so.

The eligibility criteria for the Conveyance Allowance is set by the Department of Education and is applied to a family's school fees. ANZAC DAY REQUEST

As we are now in March, our annual ANZAC Day commemoration service is on the horizon. It is a time for the school to pause, reflect and pay our respects to those who have served our nation in times of war.

Each year, we mark key anniversaries within some of the conflicts that Australians have served in over the years. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the end of Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War, and we will be acknowledging those who served in that conflict within the service.

We know that there are some within the extended families in our community who served in Vietnam, and we are looking for their stories if they are willing to share them. Some of these stories have already been shared with us, however, we want to give the opportunities for those who have not done so to share with us. There don't need to be many details - even just their battalion and time of service. Of course, more detailed stories are welcome, should the veterans be willing to share.

If a service photo is available, it would be wonderful if that could be shared with us as well.

We are hoping that these stories and photos will form a part of the service this year.

In order for us to have time to make the necessary arrangements for the we ask that you submit these stories by the 31st March 2023. Stories and any questions you may have can be sent to aware@bhcs.vic.edu.au
