Year 7 Social BBQ

The Year 7 Social BBQ will be happening on Wednesday 15th February from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm outside W-Block. Come along and meet other year 7 families and DSC community members such as staff and school council members. This is also a key opportunity for you to see the classrooms set up, visit your student's locker, and celebrate the transition into DSC life.

Don't forget to bring your own water bottle and support one of our SRC sustainability goals.

Year 7 Camp

Just over 1 week to go until we head off to camp! Campers, please note the following.

CAMPERS:

  • Be at school at 8:30 am outside the Performance Centre
  • We aim for students to return on Friday by 3:00 pm but a Compass newsfeed will be sent on the day as to the estimated time of arrival back to DSC
  • Reminder: NO MOBILE PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
  • Parents/Carers can call 03 54291503 in the case of an emergency
  • See image below on what to pack

NON-CAMPERS:

  • An alternative program will be provided and is designed to enhance student learning and outcomes. This program will include time with Peer Leaders to complete some initiative activities like those happening on camp.

Uniform Reminder

Wearing the correct uniform demonstrates that a student is ready to learn. Page 5 and 6 of the Student Planner outlines our summer uniform requirements and expectations. If students are out of uniform then they must present note from home to the Junior School reception before class at 9am in order to obtain a Uniform Pass.

Required laptop program for NAPLAN

NAPLAN testing will take place in Week 7 on student laptops. We ask that families download the Naplan Online test program to their student's laptop at home to avoid any last minute IT issues. Download the program using this link:
