DSC Interest & Wellbeing Clubs
Hoops
Hoops is a therapeutic Basketball group that is run each day at lunchtime by our Mental Health Practitioner, Lachlan Marchant. Run in the David Perry Hall, the Hoops program is a space for students to come, shoot and play together indoors, catch-up with peers and get some lunchtime fitness in. We saw incredible engagement and really fantastic behaviour and participation in 2022. Hoops is open to any student that wishes to come down and get some shots up.
Ground Rules:
As a wellbeing program, we can only support lunchtime hoops if you can agree to the following as participants;
- Not using our phones in the David Perry Hall
- Upholding college values - respect, resilience, teamwork and responsibility
- Managing behaviour - conflict happens, but lets contain this and be respectful of one another
- Only attending if a staff member (me or another staff are present)
Day allocations are as follows and will begin from next week onwards in Term 1
- Monday - Year 11
- Tuesday - Year 9
- Wednesday - Year 8
- Thursday - Year 12
- Friday - Year 10
